Protein Ladoo #MakeHealthy#EatHealthy#BeHealthy

Our most favourite season is coming soon. Any guess? Yes, winters and where we are ready with Desi ghee and nuts, are two such ingredients that define winters for us. Ghee is a source of fat, but is considered to be a 'good' fat because it is replete with many nutrients. One of the healthy nutritional ladoo, it’s nutritionally rich due to the high protein and mineral value present in its main ingredient. This recipe made with a combination of dry fruits, seeds and lentil. It is a perfect sweet craving recipe which helps to control the hunger and provides the required nutrient and is healthy too. These ladoos are best perffered as a healthy snack in between meals and it helps to stay energetic throughout the day. These are so good to taste and for your tongue. Generally, these ladoos are made with protein powder and additives, but my recipe is organic.

Ingredients:
  • 50gms - Yellow Moong Dal
  • 25gms - Green Moong Dal
  • 25gms - Urad Dal
  • 25gms - Channa Dal
  • 25gms - Masoor Dal
  • 25gms - Daliya
  • 60gms - Ghee
  • 125gms - Jaggery OR 100gms - Sugar
  • 2.5gms - Cardamon Powder
  • 2.5gms - Sundh (Dry Ginger) Powder
  • 2.5gms - Pipramul (Ganthoda) Powder
  • 1 small - Nutmeg
  • 25gms - Dry Fruits (Almonds, Pistachios, Cashew - Fine Chopped)
  • 25gms - Dried Seeds (Pumkin seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Flax Seeds, Chia Seeds, Poppy Seeds)
Method:
  • Take a non stick pan and dry roast the dal individually and let it cool.
  • After cooling grind all the dal together into a fine powder.
  • In the same pan heat ghee let it melt add the grinded roasted powder.
  • Cook it till a paste is formed and pan leaves ghee.
  • After this cool it down and add jaggery or sugar, dry masala and chopped nuts and seeds.
  • Mix this mixture nicely and make the shape of ladoos with hands.
  • After shaping garnish it with chopped dryfruits. 
Tips:
  • Use Powdered Sugar instead of regular sugar.
  • Also, if you like the ladoo to be slightly more healthy then add the Jaggery. 
  • Instead of using chopped Jaggery make Jaggery Syrup - take little amout of ghee heat it add chopped jaggery let it melt, doing this will help you to give a better mix.
  • You can choose dry fruits and seeds of your own choice.
  • This ladoo is high in antioxidants, B complex vitamins and protein.
